My Favorite Polite Word is “You’re Welcome”

Today, we often hear the expression “have an attitude of gratitude”. It’s an interesting idea. What does this mean to you?

We often hear parents reprimand their children by saying “what do you say”…. and they reply, often without knowing why, “thank you”, but why do we extend such courtesies?

For me, when somebody says “thank you” I then get to say, “you’re welcome” and my world gets bigger. I get to welcome them into my life, and into my heart. And…I want to be welcomed into the lives of others. There is nothing worse than the feeling of being unappreciated, feeling unwelcome, and feeling excluded and alone. So when we say, “thank you” we give others the opportunity to welcome us!

When we welcome people in to our homes who have no place to go, or love those who have nobody to love them, or allow others into our lives without hiding behind a veil, we will find that all we have within us will double, all that we need will be provided, all that we desire will come forth. When we open our hearts and let the full force of our being sing out, we welcome others to do the same. And…then we can really live in appreciation, having an attitude of gratitude!

So...today is Valentine's Day! Lets open our hearts and Welcome the World in. Lets see how often we can say, "you're welcome" today, and lets make sure we also say, "thank you" so we can be welcomed too. Lets step more deeply into Oneness and let the world sing!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
